Workflow 6 of 6 — free in the pack

How to Explain an Offer to a Buyer Client

Clients nod along to 'firm,' 'irrevocable,' and 'conditional on financing' and understand a third of it. This workflow turns the actual terms of their offer — extracted by you, redacted — into a plain-language explainer and closing timeline they can re-read without a midnight panic call, while keeping a bright line between explaining paperwork and giving legal advice.

How it works

Steal this prompt — the explainer structure

Using ONLY the offer terms I list below, write a plain-language explainer for [BUYERS/SELLERS]: 1. The deal in one paragraph — price, deposit, closing, firm or conditional, in everyday words. 2. A short glossary for every term a layperson wouldn't know (irrevocable, deposit, chattels, fixtures, conditional, waiver, title search date) — one or two plain sentences each. 3. The conditions, one by one: what it means, whose job it is, the exact deadline I gave you, and what ends it. Change no date or amount. 4. A money timeline — every payment, when due, to whom, in what form. 5. End by stating this is a convenience summary, the signed agreement governs, and their lawyer should review it. If my list is ambiguous on a point, mark it [ASK YOUR AGENT/LAWYER] rather than guessing. No legal advice, no predictions about the other side. Terms: [PASTE YOUR REDACTED TERM LIST]

The full workflow in the free pack adds the inputs checklist, the follow-up prompts, and the compliance notes for this task.

Example

From the pack: an $812,000 conditional offer becomes an explainer where a first-time buyer finally understands what their $40,000 deposit is, when it's at risk, and what 'irrevocable until 11:59 p.m.' actually means.

Tool that makes this faster: Writesonic. Explainers, timelines, and condition updates share one house style. Writesonic's document and template features keep client-facing writing saved as reusable, consistently formatted documents instead of scattered chat threads.
